Graduation introduced Kaga in Japan in 1986. Several earlier Japanese volumes have no official English edition, so an English publisher's “Book 1” means the translated sequence.

Do the two series need to be mixed?

No. Galileo and Kaga are separate series with different detectives. Choose one lane and stay within its order; you do not need a combined chronology.

Bungeishunju published 永遠の記憶 in Japan on August 5, 2026. It is the eleventh Japanese Galileo book by the publisher's series count, but no English translation has been announced, so it is not in the English list above.
